The algorithm feeds mainly on user engagement. The two emotions that engage humans most are hate and fear. As long as that doesn't change, social media will always radicalize people. Changing these algorithms to something like intellectual value, pushing videos containing reconciliation, is needed.

It seems to me that by pushing far-right isolationist agendas, malign forces want to break Europe apart again. Divided we are weak and easy to conquer.

X needs to be banned in Europe and replaced by a social media platform that cannot be bought by a single person who changes the algorithm in such a way that push "favorable "opinions in visibility and repress "unfavorable" ones. A real public debate is impossible without this.
