People (including on Twitter) get agitated by the idea the Kawakami Princess is a tomboy despite so clearly being a feminine girl just don’t really get what a tomboy was historically (And how tomboys wasn’t originally conceptualized to be apart of LGBT anti heteronormative gender expression)

One of my weirder Uma Musume opinions is that I really appreciate the extent in which it includes handsome women in its repertoire of moe anime archetypes… in spite of the fact that I greatly prefer cutesy, feminine girls.

Agnes Digital’s “ethical simping“ schtick is so funny considering the fact that in universe, she isn’t being a himejoshi for fictional characters, she‘s like that for “real” people she is in physical proximity to.

Blocking people works a little TOO well on Bluesky. The site won’t let you peek at the posts of people you’ve blocked, or even know which user it is. Highly inconvenient if you’re looking at a quote repost and you’re curious to see what the other person is talking about.

I’m lazy and still haven’t watched the Uma Musume anime yet. There are a lot of EN-speaking Uma fans that like complaining about the gacha version of Tokai Teio.… There’s a big difference because she doesn’t get injured in the game, but I love the clingy, bratty arrogant Teio…

Listening to characters with JP regional accents is a weird experience if you can’t actually speak Japanese, because half of the time you’re completely incapable of noticing a difference in pronunciation, and the over half you CAN tell, but it’s impossible to actual isolate the accent’s quirks
