Spider-Man sits across from Jeff, a seven year old with janked up legs due to a spinal issue, on the child's hospital bed. A chess board is between them, and Spider-Man is engrossed in the game. Jeff is not. "Someone at my school says we're only friends cuz I've got bad legs," Jeff tells him. "You tell ME, bud," his friend responds. "Huh?" "That's how we MET," Spider-Man does not look up from the game, "...but is that why we're friends?" Jeff contemplates this. Spider-Man, after a long hesitation, takes his finger off the rook, committing to his move. "AAAA, WAIT," Spider-Man screams. "CAN I TAKE THAT BACK??" "You took your finger off of it." Jeff is already reaching towards the board. "I'M AN AVENGER," Spider-Man sobs into his hands. "I HAVE A PHD. WHY AM I SO BAD AT THIS GAME??" Jeff cackles to himself. It's Spider-Man's turn again.
