I loved it so much as a kid that it still holds up for me - agree the book is better but Pola Negri is a hoot and I still have a crush on Peter McEnery

quite possible! I was hearing decline as not ‘we’re wrong’ but more ‘good luck with all your crime’ - but hard to hear and continue makes more sense

The year my sister decided to go all Martha Stewart and put cascading fabric ribbons on the tree. Pebbles the cat took care of that stupidity at about midnight - scared the bejeezus out of us when the whole tree hit the floor

Sounded like Bovino said “ok Mr. Mayor we’re going to decline to keep your streets safe” or something like that as he walked away

CPD is aiding and abetting and blocking legal action by citizens videoing their actions - why are none of you doing anything to stop this. Appreciate the annoyed posts but that’s not actually addressing the lawlessness

vs. the 6 (!) people on my train this morning having loud work conversations on their phones. Apparently couldn’t be troubled to actually get to their offices on time for the calls so we ALL have to listen

There is a petition going to get the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA) to hold a hearing on CPD's interactions with ICE.
They already have a few thousand physical, written signatures from Chicagoans so far, FWIW.
