I will certainly let her elected officials know but I think a State official will be more helpful. Also, Gillibrand is useless and you can never speak with an actual person from he office.

To be clear: Hospice has been a godsend, they have only been involved for about 6 mos. It’s the HHA agencies, DSS, and the unresponsive social service agencies that have been a nightmare.

She is very resistant to leaving her home but has done a couple of respite stays with Hospice. May be time for another….they ration that care though.

The lack of robust, effective case management with this case has been very frustrating. I have filed no fewer than 3 APS complaints! Will call them in Monday as well.

I can handle the funds. She lives in Ulster County. If you do too, or nearby it might help to have locals call their State representatives and the County.

New York!! They released emergency funds for SNAP, but not for HEAP, I guess. Meanwhile the agency that was supposed to staff her with/aides refused bc the property is substandard. If you’re living below the poverty line these people want nothing to do w/you.
