People would do well to understand that DC is not just the White House and national mall area.

Of all the witnesses, attorneys, the court, etc.

For a high profile murder case this is a relatively normal timeline.

Two years is very normal. There was likely a lot of time doing investigations and we know it took them quite a while to finalize charges.

The biggest issue is that the trial would have likely lasted several weeks and that's A LOT of time to put on a court calendar and coordinate the schedules 1/
