and sometimes if it's a hymn or song I know & love well enough I will be able to overcome the awkwardness, and I have experienced me singing it causing people near me to start up as well. now if only we had practiced singers who could rehearse & do the same thing....

I think this is like fundamental psychology that cannot be overcome by force of will. but you can fix it with audience plants! mic like four of them in the Choir Zone and spread the rest of the choir around!

I am part of the problem bc I do not have a good voice (genuinely) and *cannot* bring myself to sing above a whisper if no one else near me is singing. I try and I physically can't make myself do it. but once like 20% of people are singing aloud I will too! and I know others are the same way.

he's being completely normal and sprightly and hungry etc except for his Symptom. at least it's not an ER vet!! it's a real vet with appointments. probably tests and an x-ray. but prayers up that it does turn out to be something simple and resolvable

it's the kind of "GI Stuff" which could be basically nothing and resolve on its own/with the help of probiotics, or could be some kind of latent emergency. when you bring in a lab with GI symptoms the first thing the techs say when greeting them is "what did you swallow little guy?" lol

he absolutely goes off on what you're talking about in book 12. a whole lovely digression about how if he'd been commissioned to write genesis he'd have hoped to be able to write it such that the simple can grasp it and also any truths wise minds could come up with could be found in the same words.
