made asym and layers renamed \o/ there are other makeup devkits out there but i do really like how robust this one is

don't be afraid to use the x slider to mess with proportions. don't be afraid to try rotating bones (i do it in her butt, belly, and back!) don't be afraid to fafo. c+ is powerful. use it to its maximum potential.

cherry wouldn't be herself without c+. i've tweaked just about every bone in her body. i managed to get a somewhat-noticeable fold in the rue belly. i got her fingers and toes to be chubby. i got her m miqo ears big and fluffy.

you can do so, so much with c+. i cannot recommend using it enough.

i tried to pick pieces from this year that were experimental for me in some way. more in the alt text!

four portrait shots side-by-side. the first on the left is of cherry, my miqo'te wol, and haurchefant in their wedding clothes, from when my in-game husband and i renewed our vows. we worked on our mods together for our ceremony, and i'm proud of what we made. haurchefant is also two feet taller than cherry, so posing him holding her from behind while she stretches her arms out as if enjoying a burst of wind was challenging in its own way. second from the left is a shot of cherry curled up on a stool behind thancred in the flower fields of il mheg. she is perched with the split tip of her tail around his neck, glaring at the camera. this was when i recently toyed with making her fingertips white as a symptom of her light poisoning. i made a lot of changes to her mods this year. third from the left is a solo shot of cherry in a puffy white dress, gesturing joyfully. she is cast in a cool, blue-purple light, which was a first for me. i've been trying to be more intentional with my lighting this year; i think it's often something i overlook and i want to move away from that. last is a picture of cherry in her heavesnward gear, her hands clasped in prayer. behind her, haurchefant does his signature gesture. pale arms--minfilia's--reach up from in front of cherry and hold her hands. cherry's eyes glow hydaelyn blue. this was a more dramatic piece where i tried to play with composition. i want to get even more experimental and be more comfortable doing stuff like this so i can keep improving.
