I must resolve to love myself, to not put my worth in the eyes of others. I was taught it was a sign of humility to let others praise you and prideful to flaunt yourself. So this is going to be a challenge.

This is the second bat I have saved. One Friday, one Monday.

Self care has been a growing theme these past 6 months.

As an oldest child, I was often a peacemaker between my parents and also my siblings and friends. I valued that role. It made me important.

But I was learning to sacrifice myself to help (and seek praise from) others, to be humble and kind.
