They have their peaks and troughs but would be a good use of that credit, imo!

I hold out hope for a second season of the anime as it would pick up at the start of LN volume 3, wherein the author does a super hard turn in the plot and then rips out the steering column (metaphorically)

I also have a soft spot for this series, in the same vein as "person realises they were a fuckup and now tries to make amends" akin to A Christmas Carol.
I'm mostly caught up with the LNs and it remains a very charming series.
