The GOP is able to sell an extremely crappy message devastatingly well. If we have any hope of saving Democracy, we had better learn fast how to deliver a much better message in a way that resonates with the electorate.

I was at least aware at 9 y/o when it came out that “Where nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow” didn’t describe the geography of Africa. I remember asking my mother what they meant by it and she was like, “I don’t know.” Autism’s a bitch. I really wanted to like it, but that ruined it for me.
