Ironclad Angels patch 0.4.2 is out! Mostly just some visual and audio improvements, including a font overhaul to make things a bit easier to read.

Been chuggin' away at this next update! I added a new explosive turret and a tag system for upgrades. Now, advanced upgrades will only appear in the pool if the player already has upgrades with the specific tags they're looking for!

Took a bit longer of a break than I had planned, but I'm back in the saddle working on version 0.3.0!
Here's a sneak peek of one of the new upgrades, Troop Transport. Player projectile upgrades, like ricochet, also get applied to their bullets!

I updated the first boss with new art, animations, and 2 new segment types (turrets and bomb launchers). I still need to refine and balance it, but it already feels like a much better challenge!

Part/copilot unlocking is finally fully implemented via menus! I also added uniform patches to represent each of the different copilots.

Added a chain lightning upgrade!
Bullets and pickups now also have trails for more visual flare.

I haven't shown off much in the last few weeks (mostly back-end changes) but I've still been plucking away at it!
- Boss enemies, including UI & Music
- Run data and save data management (scoreboard & progression incoming!)

Added a new pickup to call in a bombing run on your position!
I also got around to adding some player projectile fire/hit VFX.

- Main menu

It's beginning to feel more like a full game!

Gave the UI some more attention today so now all buttons should have animation and audio. I also finally added a simple tween-in animation to the level-up screen.

Got my current build running on the steam deck! The only issue so far seems to be some font outline inconsistencies (like on the M and N). Not too worried for now, but if anyone has also experienced this I'd love to hear what caused it!

Progress on the game has been great this week! Here's the new:
- Magnet pickups to grab XP & health
- Revamped item drop systems
- Co-pilots (Unique starting passives)
- The heavy frame has a drill now!
- Added a music manager system & new music
- Part names & descriptions

Finally updated all buildings to be destructible/burnable! Also redid the flamethrower turret and light chassis sprites since they were using an older style. Revamping enemy pathfinding is next on the to-do list.

Toggled the CRT filter off to minimize video compression, but I've got explosive barrels in now!
I still need to swap the big buildings to my new interaction system so projectiles can destroy them. Regardless, I'm thrilled with how far map generation has come along!

Figure I should start sharing some #gamedev progress here!
Just added some placeholder tiles for larger buildings in map generation.
Still need to add enemy pathfinding and projectile collision but I'm liking the feel so far!
