Zootopia 2

This one was fun. The animation and design is, of course, great. This film wants Nick and Judy to be a couple so bad it but they're too afraid to commit. I did roll my eyes at some of the gags but I did enjoy the homages to Silence of the Lambs and The Shining (yes you read that right).

You can have your own opinions on the media you consume but I reserve the right to call your opinion dumb and stupid if you got it from a youtuber instead of yourself.

I don't understand how people will watch tiny out-of-context bits from a film and then say "yeah this whole movie sucks" like my brother in christ you didn't watch the fucking movie

Everyone calls it a mind trick but George Lucas can't fool me. I know a persuasion check when I see one

It's also very funny to think that the main Force abilities most people think of are telepathy and telekinesis but the first actual Force power shown was Vader choking out a dude and the second was Obi-Wan straight up lying.

Wicked: For Good

Wicked's second act has always been called the worse half, but this film does a very good job of adding to it and making it work better. Cynthia and Ariana are both at the top of their game. There are some things I would have changed, but overall it's a solid end to Elphie's story.

Kirby Air Riders

Very fun game! The different modes offer plenty of variety, and the gameplay is very chaotic. I only have a limited experience with the original, so it took some getting used to after playing so much Mario Kart and Sonic Racing, but once I got it, I started really enjoying my time.

Disney's Living Characters: A Broken Promise

Defunctland has long been a bastion of high-quality documentaries on themed entertainment, and this one is no exception. It's a four-hour long part two about the history of Disney's attempt to create autonomous animatronics, and it is worth every minute.

Anyway I think it's a fine, if extremely overrated movie that simply isn't as good as the book.

Also taking away the whole thing of the Emerald City being fake? Like bro, that was part of the Wizard's illusion. You had to wear green-tinted glasses inside the city or else you would see the Emerald City - and by extension the Wizard - for what they really are: a sham. Lies and propaganda.

The thing I hate the most is the whole "it was all a dream" twist because the books make it very clear that Oz is a real place. It takes some of the impact away for me, plus means that every subsequent adaptation has to explain that no, Oz *is* real, don't listen to MGM.
