I have found it is better to secretly contain my disdain for the decoration going up far too early. Not the people, they have their reasons, just the decoration. It's healthier to feel negatively towards inanimate objects, right? - signed, someone who worked retail for 25+ years. IYKYK

That statement doesn't mean anyone is engaging, even though I know a few do, but that's hardly "propping" them up. "Watching" is not the same as giving them attention or inspiring then to continue. They operate within their own echo chambers.

I'm the US, a decent equivalent is poultry seasoning. It's what I learned to use in my dressing almost 30 years ago from my [horrid] former MIL. I get zero complaints, & multiple requests, for my recipe. No meat. Just bread, LOOOOTTSS of butter, a few veg, eggs, broth, seasoning. Easy peasy.

I'm in CA. It looks like some states have stuck to the $2, but it's a different prize system. Most states went to the $5/ play.

Mega Millions tickets went up to $5 ea in April. The goal was to make it (nominally) better odds of winning, make the larger jackpots more frequent while at the same time offering smaller jackpots more frequently. My brain doesn't math very well, but somehow it makes sense to me.
