I fucked around with it and was able to get it a little better. What seems to be happening is the pole on the stand is tilting forward, like the slot it goes into on the base isn't deep enough so it's not stable.

This is the closest to the pictures they advertised it with I can get and breathing in it wrong would cause it to fall forward again.

PSA if you were on the fence about the new @fallout.bethesdastudios.com desert ranger helmet, do NOT get it. The stand it comes with is defective and will not hold it's weight. @bethesda.net fucked up bad with this one.
