Happy birthday to British novelist and journalist, Rebecca West, who wrote, “I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is; I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat or a prostitute.”

The Trump administration is considering a new 92% antidumping duty on Italian pasta makers, a move that, combined with the existing 15% European imports tariff, would raise total duties to 107% on 13 major Italian exporters, including La Molisana, Garofalo, Rummo, Pastificio Liguori, and Barilla.

“Eighty percent of everything that is true and beautiful can be experienced on any ten-minute walk.” Neal Allen, spouse of Anne Lamott

Plan to take a 10-minute walk on this Thanksgiving Day. Once you experience beauty and truth, you’ll find gratitude.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

Tell me if I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen reporting re: journalists Mary Bruce and Catherine Lucey and Trump in any of the legacy media newspapers. I’m looking at you, NYT, WaPo, WSJ. But, they're falling all over themselves re: Trump and MbS.

What’s up, boyz?

From The Writer's Almanac

Happy birthday Kurt Vonnegut Jr. During WWII, he was imprisoned in a slaughterhouse in Dresden. Vonnegut & his fellow prisoners only survived the bombing because they slept in a meat locker three stories below the ground. He published Slaughterhouse-Five (1969).

The GOP/MAGA folks seem deaf to what happened last night, but so is the DNC. The Party is not back, as Hakeem said. The voters are done with "business as usual". We're done with party politics and identity wars and 'nice'. We want results. Tell us what we're voting FOR. Not what we're voting AGAINST

What have we come to when the POTUS has be be told by a judge that he has to feed hungry children and their families?
