I’ve had to hunt down books that talk about the women in the 18th and 19th Cen. ceremonial occult world more than a footnote or anecdote. The older book’s title them as just the Wife, Mistress, Muse, Secretary, but rarely accounts how they were occultist in their own right.

I am also liking how the running theme through all the encounters with IT

Also, when the locals suggest you shouldn’t settle in an area they actively stay away from, you might want to listen to them.

Do what many have done. Get yourself a large honey bear or cookie bear. Empty contents, but don’t waste it. Clean it. Poke a hole in the lid (carefully) find a straw. Fill it with ice and beverage of choice and you just 5 minute Craft a Starbucks Bear without having to stand in line at 3am.

I like the fact that this show starts just before summer vacation similar to the book. Like a 80’s Spielberg movie the summer break was a time for growth, change, and adventure for kids. Also, when adults are only in the background and more hindrance then help.

The ep both showed that kids do die by IT’s hands, but also to show not all kids have the shinning. The Losers club was comprised of kids that had the shinning. We will see more of this later in the show. Lucy was also protected by turtle charm a nod to the Great Turtle.
