Ok, apart from visual novel or text adventure, "memoir game" suits I am Yours pretty well.
2026 is going to be the year I start making more autobiographical focused vignette games. Games about waiting for the bus in Winnipeg during -50°C winters. Games about walking 6 hours to see 20000 birds land on a pond. Games about going to Ethiopia after 30 years to see my grandma.
The memoir game isn't new, but it is having a moment.

The 70th issue of Indiepocalypse is out this week and I'm running the usual 'every 10 issue' pledge drive! Most of the time that means it's annual, but since it's the second drive this year, it's a patron drive instead!
The goal though of 'break even' remains the same.
