I wasn't sure of how I wanted to paint these models, so I put one into impcat to test out some ideas... The process to create the SVG was tedious, but I think it was worth it.

I've chosen the brown one as they give me some space-roach kind of vibe.

I thought they were smaller! They look pretty intimidating next to my Space Marines. They'll be worthy antagonists!

I had a bit of time yesterday to paint the base and added some reins (made with a bit of wire) so the hand is not just hanging there.

Next Step: Building some small Osgiliath diorama display base.

I've made lots of mistakes but I'm happy with this #LOTR beast. I still need to paint the base and create a small scenery to display the miniatures.

I enjoyed some parts of the process but it was very stressful and difficult to handle.

Over the years I've seen many (even millions) of players play #videogames I've worked on as part of a team and it feels great.

But seeing a tiny bunch of people receiving my first #boardgame physically and sending me pics of them playing is even better!!

I started painting. I looked for some references in the movie and noticed the blueish tone on its neck and off white chest. I just wish I had done a better job removing mould lines 🫠

Well... I finally gathered all my willpower, the super glue and sodium bicarbonate and glued the beast back together after the crash.

There is still hope for this awe inspiring miniature. Beware Frodo!

Hopefully I won't drop it again.

Priming done. I tried some cenital lighting with grey but the can was finishing and it produced some visible spots... Hopefully I can fix those in painting.

I also dropped the mini just after the picture, but luckily nothing broke 😅

Here's the beast after gluing it with epoxy. I'm still unsure some bits will hold up... Maybe the green stuff helps reinforcing a bit.

Looking forward to paint it, though it's a bit of boring one, all black. Oh well...

Feeling like I went back in time... A friend of mine gave me this box that was sitting in his house for... I guess 20 years now?

With the Eliminators finished, my Star Rise Defenders 3rd Company are now 11 miniatures.

I think these planters are ready. Adding more vegetation and a better paintjob really brought them together. I'm quite happy with them after all.

So I used some packaging peanuts I got around to create giant plant-like shapes for a planter kind of thing. But the acrylic paint corroded them or something and they reduced in size considerably. Now they are tiny bushes... I wasn't expecting that!
