Couldn't have phrased that nearly as well as you did there. I think a lot of modern TTRPGs are experimenting more with being a sort of board game hybrid, and while that's cool, it's not what I'm looking for. As a player, I want to be immersed. As a GM, I want the rules to get out of my way.

18:00-20:00: Break-In!!! Inspired by the likes of Smash TV and Monday Night Combat, this is a gameshow scenario which will be action from start to finish.

I'll be running two wildly different scenarios, each two hours tops.

15:30-17:30: Broken Lotus. A dark fantasy mystery scenario whose themes I don't want to spoil, but I may have been somewhat influenced by the indie TTRPG and small hobby shop scenes ...

I don't care about your credentials or your clout or your tribal alliances. I speak to everyone the same way - as if they're a human being. There are no lords or minions in my worldview.

... But sometimes I am amused for the things I get blocked for on here. Like "talking about following your own path" = "self-help makes me angry, blocked". Or being unwilling to watch an hour long video entitled "How Jordan Peterson's Suits Taught Me Fashion"

This is one of the reason I had to design my own system for solo over PBTA/Ironsworn. Because the by-design most-common result 'mixed success' feels exhausting.

Having to constantly come up with some unique way of saying "you failceed" instead of the very definitive "DAMN YOU GOT GAT"
