Never debated THAT assessment - but that doesn’t meant it didn’t have potential as an assignment, had she done the most basic work.

Depends on the goal of the essay. If the assignment was to interpret and respond to an article from a philosophical or psychological perspective, it could be a very valid argument and essay.
If it was intended to scientifically assess the validity of an article’s claims? Not so much.
If it was intended to scientifically assess the validity of an article’s claims? Not so much.

Not at all. One can cite sky daddy and do so in an academically honest way. She didn't even bother citing what book, chapter and verse she was referring to in ANY part of her essay.

I was going to say she didn't deserve the grade until I read the essay. I mean, if you're going to use the bible as a source, at least CITE THE SPECIFIC BOOK, CHAPTER AND VERSE.
