Once you start to see how the presence of cars (and car-centric infrastructure and land use patterns) makes a place feel hostile to humans, it kinda seems like the majority of people are under a spell which makes them accept that shit as normal

this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will
