I am unsure of the circumstances but I am certainly grateful that the UK and other European navies are tracking and deterring hostile Russian activity in Ireland‘s marine territory. If we can’t do it, other European democracies with more capabilities should (as long as this is coordinated with IE).

This passage reminds me of chats I’ve had with people who (like me) favour reunification but avoid thinking about the consequences.

Their answers to “how will we protect 🇬🇧 identity in a UI?” are:

1. We won’t: it will die off
2. Why should we? It’s false/evil
