I don't think those are similar circumstances at all. For starters, Prince himself withheld that album and there were some changes made before its official release. Nice strawman tho.

respectfully, I disagree in this instance.
The album was recorded and set to release in 2001. AFAIK they made no significant changes between the label rejecting it and its eventual physical release. I agree physical mattered way more then, but this is a 2001 album to me.
