It's noticeable that none of these points have been responded to.

I think Hellboy 2 was the last one of his I liked. But I had this conversation the other day so I'm going to rewatch a lot of them.

The whole argument views children as property rather than individuals that we all share responsibility for.

Like Nosferatu it just kind lacks heart somehow.

I found it a bit underwhelming although it ticked lots of adaptation boxes for me. But I have found his films underwhelming for a while and this one less so.

I really liked this. I think it's the first time I've seen someone actually try and adapt the book. It didn't quite capture every thing I wanted it too but much better than previous efforts and some great stuff in there.

I thought that was part of the job description.
