This. They deny almost all claims the first time unless they're "expected." That's how they weed out people who can dedicate their lives to getting one bill paid vs those who have jobs, kids, other responsibilities...

Take it from someone whose wife worked for years as an accounting manager at a hospital - 'death panels' have existed for many decades. But for some reason we call them 'insurance companies.'

Isn't it time to admit that this is completely unsustainable? No matter what you call it, we need an option that gets rid of these big companies. Obamacare came too late for me, but these premiums make it unusable for others.

It's not about legality; it's about whether the government can be *compelled* to use other pools of money that they're *allowed* to transfer from. There's nothing *illegal* here; the question is whether courts can *mandate* what's otherwise an exercise of discretion when it's a remedy for defiance.

@golden.house.gov Thanks. One, this is a good step in the right direction. Two: I had hoped you were going to run for Senate! 😢You will be missed, and I wanted you to know that some of the American people know that we need more people like you.

Can't speak for Tom, but I think he wants to make sure we don't all just give up/ assume there's nothing to be done. What everyone can do will be individually determined, but we all can and should be fighting against the current trend, most important vote.Assuming fascism is here is assuming defeat.

Another definitional dispute we in the press room have discovered: whether jurors could be provided lunch during the shutdown—some prohibition against “refreshments.” Docket indicates meals ultimately were paid for by clerk of the court. We don’t know whether sandwiches were involved.

I feel very much like they want us all living in the antibellum South.
