I loved the mellow vibes of 3, and I’m looking forward to playing the enhanced edition whenever it comes out, but I agree with you, the lack of story progression was shocking! Why waste this opportunity to tell us more? 😫

I wasn’t all that impressed with Cage’s prior game “Beyond: Two Souls” so I passed on this one for a few years. Like you, I was really blown away by it once I actually gave it a try. It’s the best executed version of the type of cinematic gameplay he’s going for.

Perhaps the best compliment is how these games make me want to visit (or at least research) the various places in Japan and China where they take place. I went down a rabbit hole looking at videos and documentaries on Kowloon, for example. The games require some patience, but are worth your time.

The second game goes overboard with quick time events, to the point it’s as tough as “Dragon’s Lair” 😂 My favorite parts of the games are the quiet ones - interacting with people, playing gambling games (how about a game of Lucky Hit?), picking up some capsule toys.. cozy vibes..

I was so excited to try it. 😭
