It's great fun. Nice amount of nudity and violence. Not Ishii levels, but the supernatural camp makes up for everything.

There's a great song she did with Herbie Hancock, as a cover of Joni Mitchell's "Edith and the Kingpin". Not sure if you heard that one.

Yeah, it aims less for the spectacle than the movie.

It's quite different from the comic of I remember correctly. Neither of them is a memorable classic.

I used to like it, but then they drew it out too much and I lost interest. It's been like a decade, the kids are adults now, nobody wants to even be in it anymore... It's like when you really like a kind of cheese, but then find a piece in the fridge that's expired 8 months ago and you just toss it.

I have a regular Sony region free player from long ago. Still works great. The 4K player I tried was skipping a lot though.

He's great. I think I bought everything you can find outside of Japan. Have like ten more movies to go... His range is from silent to technicolor and it's all gorgeous. Have you seen the documentary by Wim Wenders about him and Tokyo in general? It's good.

I love this movie but totally forgot it was from the 90s.

I don't think I've ever seen this...

One of the reasons I completely skipped the Avatar series is because I hate the designs. To me all the creatures just look terrible. Same for Thanos and Doomsday in the comic book movies. Compared to what Stan Winston or Eiko Ishioka did, this is just bad work. But some people like it and that's ok.

I haven't seen it in a while, but I really liked it. When it came out it was pretty cool. I wish they made more seasons.

Probably am unpopular opinion, but I honestly think he didn't do anything good since Terminator 2. He's one of those commercially successful directors that make money for the studios, but crap movies. That's why they tolerate him.

I've seen him in Backstrom after that I think, but that only had one season. It was funny.

Definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen.
