Beautiful day at Levin Down Nature Reserve.
Saw two green woodpeckers, a greater spotted woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and kestrel.
Such a magical place with its yew trees and juniper bushes.

Was deleting old videos from my phone and came across this one of #MarkRylance speaking (very philosophically) at an Extinction Rebellion event in London 2019. Such a wonderful actor and human.

Beautiful day on #BignorHill
Found some of the wonderfully named yellow brain fungus (also known as yellow trembler and witches butter!) and an orange feather with black tip, not sure what bird it’s from.
A blue and gold sort of a day.

#StitchingOurTime is now being exhibited at #TheGoodStitch in #Worthing
This is one of the most joyful art projects I’ve ever been involved with. We asked people what they cherish and they wrote their responses on tissue paper.
We then embroidered their words onto calico.

So glad I made it to #Edinburgh National Gallery to see 50 years of #AndyGoldsworthy exhibition.
Loved the site specific installations of oak branches, ferns, barbed wire, red clay…as well as his earlier work. Such a great connection with nature and place.
Great to be in Scotland too!

The heathland trail has labels for many of them so I’ve learnt some of their wonderful names!
These are: Tawny Grisette, Amethyst Deceiver, Turkeytail and The Sickener or Beechwood Sickener.

Happy one year Anniversary to my novel #OurPreciousEarth !
Great seeing it out in bookshops this year & hearing from
readers who’ve enjoyed it.
In the novel I’m working on I’ve taken the child character, Tierre, and moved the story forward to a time in the future.

Beautifully camouflaged and slightly blurred but definitely a willow warbler.
There were 2 flitting about in the birch trees (so fast and acrobatic!)
I thought they’d already gone so it was lovely to see them.

It’s #bookshopday and I met the amazing #MonicaFeria-Tinta at The Sussex Bookshop, talking about her book Barrister for the Earth.
Inspiring listening to hear her talk about acting for the rights of nature, including for rivers and chalk streams here in the UK.
