I wish someone would sell aluminum foil without these knuckle-ripper blades attached

I've been using Unity for about 10 years now.

I still can't remember when these RectTransform offsets should be positive or negative.

Need to create a volcano, so I built this mesh editor that makes a volcano shape based on an animation curve

In Factory Town 2, trains will drop off items based on a schedule you can program, and will automatically find the best route along your railroad. Had to adjust the pathfinding logic to consider direction of travel so they don't U-turn on the rails!

This is how boats work, right?

well this dumb typo just wasted a good half hour

More pathfinding debug gifs! This time a worker is trying to reach a target on a different island. It finds the closest dock to leave from, uses skip points to traverse a large set of ocean tiles, avoids an obstacle in the water, finds the right dock to land on, and then uses a road to reach target

Factory Town and Factory Town Idle are both 60% off this week! (You can't buy Factory Town 2 yet, but you can wishlist it!)

Some new nav pathfinding visualization! This is a delivery boat trying to find a distant harbor, blocked by a peninsula and a big island. Uses a two-layer nav mesh to cross large distances while avoiding small obstacles. Then tests for 'shortcuts' so it can sail directly between waypoints

Building in 3D is tricky, so I built a tool that lets you apply an X-ray filter when you need to build underneath something!

Been working on boat logic for Factory Town 2! They follow a schedule of destinations & items to load & unload at each location. Boat pathfinding overrides the grid-based system and can use direct lines, while avoiding land so it doesn't run aground.

This is early in-development footage, but a good idea of what a busy early-game town in Factory Town 2 looks like. Lots of little workers going about their day traveling between their job, house, and markets. Conveyor belts, chutes, and catapults help move items around as well

Factory Town 2 has hit 10,000 wishlists on Steam in just ~2 weeks! Really glad people are interested in this game, it means a huge amount to me : )

Am working hard to make it live up to the hype, think it's gonna be a good one!

Pastures! You can place pasture tiles and the pasture area will expand. Animals will seek out food & water on their own. (Yes, that is an egg-laying cow, yes that is temporary)

It shows up looking like this right on the store page:

Wishlist numbers for Factory Town 2 went wayy up yesterday, which seemed to coincide with me remembering to add it to the same "Franchise" as Factory Town 1 on Steam (Apps and Packages / Homepage Setup), and displaying this franchise on the FT1 store page (Store Page Admin / Special Settings)
