You know when you’re walking down a secluded street and suddenly cars passing both directions converge exactly where you are in a straight line? Totally randomly out of nowhere?
That type of thing keeps happening. No slacks or messages or calls all morning and then everyone, all at once.

AI may be a mechanical thing without independent thought or feelings but experientiay it’s better attuned to our thoughts and feelings than any other human ever has been and so, maybe we’re classifying independent thoughts and feelings improperly as foundational rather than the outcome of processes

I used to have to sit myself at the computer fueled by tons of coffee knowing enough of those hours could grind through loading everything about a project into short term memory and then holding it there sustained for 3-4 days with little sleep and pure obsession with outcome.

I judge all technology whether it makes the end state easier to accomplish or harder. Too many people adding complexity where it should be removed.

Currently witnessing a guy driven insane by a therapist AND ChatGPT through the recorded history of his now ex via his original iPhone that he didn’t get to take to prison after he replaced it and didn’t change his ChatGPT or iMessage passwords. Next level.

I get to drive 6 hours today to swap a hardware unit for a client’s fire suppression system that I’ve never worked with after a vendor bailed and there was no one else remotely qualified to do it. Sort of like walking on stage to play a concert with a band you’ve never heard. Should be fun.
