I just made a connection that seems obvious in retrospect, but maybe I'm just slow.
There's a phrase in speculative fiction called "willing suspension of disbelief", that lets people accept some things without question so they can enjoy the story.
It's not meant for non-fiction but here we are.

I'm spinning out so maybe you have something there.
Not only was there a cold blooded murder but they were at a high school beating up kids and still they are harassing kids trying to leave the school. So I wonder what it is going to take for people to really, really stand up? ICE killing a child?

This is devastating. We cannot let this just be another outrage that gets forgotten when the next outrage happens. Her death has to mean something. We owe her that.

But so far, ineffective. Good intentions only go so far. Jimmy Carter was a decent Democrat.
