Early, not much. Hair was short to save time, hiding her scars, etc. Only when the pressure of WoL was less, she started to do 'more'. Now her hair is growing out and she can embrace Being Dyouh and not only a WoL, enjoying lip tint and eyeshadow, dressing how she wants and no more hiding for her.

My very first character many years ago is a female Hyur and still exists (I do not have data for the account anymore must be lvl 50 DRG),... when I picked up xiv when I did with Dyouh, I wanted a Cat Girl. Or Bunny. Or Hyur. But I didn't like either of them.
And suddenly I had a red haired Raen.

One of a very impactful sensory associations is the warmth or weight of Tarin, as funny as it may sound. He's always there for her to lean against, or steadying her in a world that is moving sometimes a bit too fast. The warmth a reminder of life.
The sight of soft snowfall also is relaxing for her.
