Speakeasy. I beat the easy automa $550 to $387. I had a nice string of protected building that I upgraded early and then did two runs of production & selling. It might be a fluke, though. I’ll have to tentatively increase Joe’s difficulty next time. #boardgames

I recently sourced the Gotham City Chronicles board game core boxes. They sit alongside the Gotham City Chronicles Roleplaying game. That’s a lot of Batman (and quite a few miniature doubles) but I am a pig in mud organising it all and dreaming about having the time to paint/play them both.

I recently sourced the Gotham City Chronicles board game core boxes. They sit alongside the Gotham City Chronicles Roleplaying game. That’s a lot of Batman (and quite a few miniature doubles) but I am a pig in mud organising it all and dreaming about having the time to paint/play them both.
It’s been 10 years since I bought a TV and the sea of letters and acronyms mean nothing to me. “OD QLED Optitronic Aardvark”.

I didn’t realise how aggressively Fantasy Flight Games were making Arkham Horror boxes out of print, so I’ve missed any window to purchase the Scarlet Keys Campaign box. From what I can tell, it’s the most divisive one, but still would have liked to get it. #boardgames

Aghast at the price of adding shaded minis to some pledges, I whipped up a dark wash in 20 seconds and tried it out on my War of the Ring minis. Looks fine to me. (I’ll paint these with colour - just wanted to prove to myself)

Got Tainted Grail Kings of Ruin today. Had forgotten I went for sundropped minis. It’s fairly cool, but a few issues. I think I’d be able to produce similar results (spending time, effort and materials, admittedly). Don’t think I’ll pay for it again in future.

Yesterday, my son & I formed a long term plan to search for enough bananas in DK Bananza to unlock a post-completion skill on his profile.
I went and got his lunch and came back and he had a huge grin. He’d worked out that he could just spend coins at the Chip Exchange and already had the skill.
