At that time I was a junior solar thermal design engineer 😅 I hadn't migrated to PV just yet. So I wasn't privy to all the details.

But what I can remember is that it was a pilot and the R/kWp was much higher than the norm for ground mount. In terms of modelled ROI, no info. Unfortunately 🤷🏼

Always great to see the work done by NSE showcased like this.

I was part of NSE when this project was completed. It was a steep learning curve but the floating PV turned out to be a great addition to the project.

Brilliant addition to the renewables generation data options in SA. We have a long way to go to really understand what's happening, but it's a step in the right direction.
