That's why I always encourage people to watch beyond the top teams. It'll give them a newfound appreciation of the talent top pros have and also gives you a chance to know more about different footy cultures

There are 7-8 teams in England who are good enough to play in UCL, so we'll be seeing such stuff. But, hopefully things will be different with Nottingham Forest next year, their lack of experience will make things interesting

Schalke 😭

I think the seeding system is resulting in such one sided affairs.

In CL, even teams outside the top 8 are fantastic, but in the EL and ECL, that's not the case. Teams like Man Utd and Spurs can finish pretty high and coast off the weaker draws.

It's still only one season so we'll have to wait ig

Barcelona are treating this game like a practice session, this is humiliating for Dortmund.

He's a good man don't get me wrong and the fact that he still didn't lose the dressing room means that his man management skills are excellent too, but he needs to back up his statements with good performances.

Juventus have been terrible for a while now, didn't even feature last season
Milan apart from that semis run have been terrible

I get what you are trying to say but it isn't that big of a shift imo

Apart from City, others are not that big names to go missing. Juventus have not been a giant in European comps for a while and Milan are dreadful in CL apart from that one run to semis.

Probably applies to their rivals too (Moore, Gray and Bergvall)

you can lose 3, draw 2 and it’s STILL impossible to get knocked out

But this format helps smaller teams so I guess it's fine 🤷

Also, I'll probably struggle to summarise the whole group stage, which was not that big of a problem before because it was easy to track all 32 teams' journey
