I have a regular movie night with my friends, and one year for x-mas we watched the straight version, the MST3K riff version, and the Cinematic Titanic riff version of that film as a triple feature.

I love a lot of dumb things, but the gun kata of Equilibrium is one of the dumbest things I love the most. Probably the only thing that tops it is Lt. Doolittle teaching an AI bomb phenomenology to keep it from exploding in Dark Star.

This year a teacher I work with gave me a kabocha (Japanese pumpkin), and I used it to make pumpkin pie for the first time.

I have been doing Thanksgiving solo since I moved to Japan 6yrs ago. I get smoked turkey drumsticks online and make mashed potatoes with honey fermented garlic and brown gravy, and round it out with pumpkin soup and a salad.
X-mas dinner is very similar because I get the turkey legs 5 to a pack.
