My parents did ham at Christmas. Post-divorce-from-their-dad, my kids & now-ex-wife & I would do huge trays of Christmas nachos — one year pizza themed, once Tex-Mex, once Indian, etc. I don’t think we did nachos at all except in December.

Everything else falls so flat I can’t remember it.

Okay I need to see it now. I did like one Superman film I saw outside the Donner films but I honestly remember nothing about it now. I’m not a “cinematic universe” person but Christopher Reeve as Superman remains one of my favorite films things on Earth, and those stories meant a lot to me.

“Slow Hand” by Conway Twitty — but it more like he is answering a want ad.

I’m really kinda shocked at how quickly the change occurred. But I’m pleased! Years back someone had warned me against taking a statin because he said it would “ruin” my body. Well what it’s actually doing is making my heart healthier! I had made significant lifestyle changes with no effects!

(obviously that is not advice intended for anyone — just my own philosophy)

I find it less expensive to make soup from bouillon and veggies, but some days my chronic illness doesn’t let me. Those soups used to be less than a dollar each, with the Progresso brand running a little higher.

Walmart undercuts most supermarkets here in price. I would say shop small for groceries but the prices are higher and all our local/regional chains are owned by hard right people as well.

that’s such hard stuff to carry 💙 I’m so sorry about your friend. About a year after I returned to AL from WA, one of my dearest friends was dxd with stage 4 pancreatic. It’s not a kind diagnosis. You must be hurting so badly.

I took my kids to see this in the IMAX theater at our science center and loved it.

I highly recommend the spice blends by FODY and SmokeShack for Low-FODMAP seasoning options. I can tolerate a tiny bit of garlic so I can use a standard harissa, but would love to see a low-FODMAP harissa, chili crisp, and curry powder (I often blend my own — time-consuming & pricey).

It’s not my fault you were taught onions and garlic were the only ways to season food. There’s a whole world of flavor out there, kids. Go find it.

Also the more people tell me that they “would die” if they couldn’t eat onions and garlic, the more colorful I make my details when describing what that food does to me.

Let me tell you that if you think onions and garlic (and green bell pepper, also a huge NO for me) are the only ways to season food, then *you* are not the one with the issue, not me.

The Trinity is in nearly everything. And I get, “what do you even eat then?” And, “so you just eat unseasoned food?”
