FFVIII's reliance on subtext and hints to get Ultimecia's motivations and backstory across was one of the most controversial storytelling decisions made in the game to the point it's STILL talked about, but Premonition is a very hard-hitting piece when you actually know more about Ultimecia.

I think part of why I love Premonition so much is that the song itself tells part of Ultimecia's story:
