I feel like you could find a post saying "Donald Drumpf" in 2025 on bsky

The thing about bsky is that to me anyway it feels out of touch with itself. Like it is way more of an echo chamber than anything else that has existed. It's still crazy to me that Twitter collapsing and losing is hegemonic status has led to this situation with bsky, threads, and X in its place

Twitter today feels like people from /b/ migrated there. I remember being acquainted with /b/ when I was still new to social media, and I got the impression that the average poster (racist, mentally ill, NEET) was really rare in the general population. I was incorrect, unfortunately.

I guess there are limits to how raw it can get. I remember in college using Twitter for the first time and trying really hard to like it, but eventually it clicked. I also don't have the same kind of drive now in my 30s. The difference is now it feels overrun with the wrong type of people.

To be fair, there is no way in hell I'm going back to Twitter. I logged out of my account there. It still exists but I don't have enough desire to log back in. It just got gradually worse and worse to use and was not good for my mental health to be exposed to what was going on there.

Vegans and animal rights activists will bring hard core statistics to this discussion while meat eaters will bring the same 2 jokes about bacon or whatever

She has been quiet since the election. The Dems need someone who rails against the administration, provides vision. The opposition needs a leader. If she was going to try again she'd be doing that, I think.

She is also unfairly shackled to Biden's admin which isn't viewed very favorably.
