I know the BIOS can get confused with which Drive to boot, and the Windows Boot can try to erase the Linux one.

Sometimes you just need to use some specific tools that work best on my Windows distro.
But most of times I just want a good PC and Linux does that

I would recommend you then to just copy the files to your Linux drive and launch everything from there
Flatpack sucks tho when it comes to having to use a flatpack application

I personally dualboot Mint and Windows7
W7 is pretty outdated but it has all my tools working correctly on it
And Mint is pretty great and I can customize how I want it, but the software isn't completely there yet
So I boot either depending on what I'm gonna do with my pc that day

Not gonna recommend any distro but to check which are more OOB or if there's some that's focused on your use case

Sure if you have more recent hardware Mint might not be up to date with your hardware and have trouble with that
But also a big chunk of people have W10 since ten years ago
