The vast majority of people are satisfied if they are securely housed, can feed their kids and pets, and can pay their bills with a bit left over to save for emergencies. Sadly, many jobs do not pay enough for people to have this.

I had forgotten about those alleged $5,000 checks. Wonder if I should drop receiving one into a group text just to mess with MAGA friends and family members. “What are you going to do with your DOGE check? What do you mean you didn’t get one?” 😜😜😜

Different people have different last straws. One of them peeled off at the “eating the dogs, eating the cats” thing. More of them will peel off if they see a hero veteran being attacked over doing nothing wrong. I’ll take their return to sanity.

Same. Such a terrible thing to have happened. We need to know all of the terrible things in our history. They are like sepsis spreading through the body, poisoning everything. They need recognition and alleviation. Treatment. Healing.

Her district is glowing ruby red, so any help with numbers in the House will be temporary. And in the meantime, this woman has massively enriched herself through insider trading, and someday our taxes will be paying for her pension and benefits.

Federal employees also have to follow very strict laws to prevent them from committing corruption. Congress should be subject to the same. You cannot become a multimillionaire like MTG did in only five years without financial corruption playing a role.

My point is that someone who has only had a job for five years should not be eligible for a pension or lifetime benefits (except in very specific special circumstances such as a permanent on the job injury).

Yes, but I had to work in an extremely demanding healthcare job for more than thirty years to get my federal pension. Some people, including the military, have to work at least twenty. She only had to work five. It’s bull 💩 in comparison to regular wage grade federal employees.
