This salary is fucking obscene for someone who was absolutely shit at communicating for the city. Remember her city hall lawn contamination remarks? Brutal.
According to an Order in Council former Regina mayor Sandra Masters has been hired by Premier Scott Moe's office as a deputy chief of staff for communications.

She'll have a salary of $14,221 a month. (That's significantly more than she ever made as mayor)

There should be a separate movement that asks to divide Alberta in a straight line between Edmonton and Calgary with the southern part remaining Canadian and the northern part separating. And then another movement that lets everyone know we’re just guests. Let’s get silly with it.

This is fun and all but I can’t find a single actual report on this outside of a couple of tweets.
If Trump & Putin make a deal to plunder Ukraine, EU & Canada, which hold a solid 1/3 of American debt, can threaten (or actually do) to sell off the debt, really hurting the American economy. Canada threatened this once before during Trump's 51st state tirade. The world is preparing to do it worse.

At UCP convention: separatist and federalist alike stand for the Canadian anthem.

And then 30 seconds of silence to remember Charlie Kirk.

On the other hand, who doesn’t love a spring election? The grass is growing, temperatures are rising, streets are getting swept.

The great thing about being an English speaking Canadian is that even if you can’t speak French, you know really bad French when you hear it because it sounds exactly like it did in French class in elementary school.

I’m with a lot of what the NDP leadership candidates say but this debate feels like a mayoral candidates debate in Regina.

Every walk is a fart walk.
Feeling gassy after Thanksgiving? Take a fart walk.

Light exercise after a big meal can help. Whatever you do, resist the urge to lie down.

It might be worth considering whether immigrants are coming to the U.S. radicalized or if the United States is radicalizing immigrants.

I should probably be clear that I’m not pro-pipeline. I support the politics being played here (in that I think I get what they’re doing) and I resent that Alberta is only interested in a very particular 🥕. But whattaudo?

Weird line to walk where you have to, on one hand, say "there is no proponent, there is no route and there is no real reason for this" and on the other hand, act as though there is and you're totally fucked on it.

Wall up. I have faith in you.

But first: did a journalist just inject their opinion into a question to Smith by explicitly saying “I think…”.

I don’t know. Like, if I say Europeans, no one assumes I’m strictly speaking about France. Best to just call them Yanks or Active Shooters.
Yeah, this is the “USian” logic in a nutshell.

But NLians is the term I use for baseball players who only recently adopted the designated hitter rule
I've decided I don't like the word "Dutch", so I'm gonna start calling people from the Netherlands NLians. If they don't accept that and immediately adopt it, they're ignorant, arrogant, and also poopy heads.

Personally, I would invite the diplomats to leave.
NEW: The New York Times got a State Dept. cable in which Rubio orders diplomats in Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand to press for immigration limits and cite crime. They’re also told to report on governments that are pro-immigration. Our story: www.nytimes.com/2025/11/26/u...
