Yeah so the context of me learning this was an unfinished story about dinosaurs finding a hot pepper patch and wondering if reptiles would be bothered by them (the answer is no).
However what reptiles/birds do NOT like is methyl anthranilate aka Concord grape flavoring (artificial/natural).

Doesn't surprise me. Also I think this version was only uploaded a few years ago when the university music professor who wrote and performed it decades ago finally said "technically I have the cleanest version of this, why not"

No other major group of animals (insects, reptiles, birds, fish, etc.) has an irritant response to capsaicin (which again does NOT exist to deter consumption of pepper fruits, it prevents the seeds from rotting once the fruit falls and decays), only us hairies.
