We got the Walmart holiday toy catalog in the mail and the video game section was Switch 2, PS5 and Meta Quest, no Xbox presence at all which felt surprising compared to previous years. Same thing on their holiday shopping website.
Only Microsoft presence is Minecraft toys 😬

Game #11 is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was a tie in to Valhalla. A smaller scoped AC game (20 hours compared to a gajillion for the big ones). It was solid enough to see me through to the end but definitely not my favorite in the series. I played on gamepass.

Game #10 is Pentiment, another Obsidian game, but very different from Avowed. This is an adventure game set in 16th century Germany, with the art style of a period book. Story kept me guessing, didn’t feel like there were right answers, left me thinking about life more than expected.

Game #9 is Minami Lane, a brief but charming little Japanese street simulator. Was over quick but left me wanting more, which is a good sign.

Those are definitely better than I was hoping. The OG Ally went on sale regularly as well, hope that’s the case here.
For a while I was using OG ally with a ssd upgrade as my primary machine, I imagine the ally x would only be better there.
