Wyden is such a real one. Also, check out his near perfect alt text on the photos. Someone understands the assignment.
Made a beeline to Fred Meyer yesterday for one of their rotisserie chickens after casting my ballot at the Sellwood Library. No better way to celebrate participating in our democracy.

chat what do you think the odds are we can get a senator on bluesky to say trans rights
Hello (again) Bluesky! I’m going to start posting here again, because that other app has become a disaster.

But first, I want to introduce myself. My name is Tina Smith, and I’m a proud United States Senator for Minnesota… ⬇️

This story reminds me of that onion article about everyone involved in a pizza being high.

As Portland re-enters its rainy season, I would like to reiterate my strongly held belief that the only people who ever say "Portlanders don't use umbrellas" are the same people who've never had to wait 25 minutes for a bus in pouring rain.

I got two different newspapers delivered to my home yesterday: The Bee and The Onion.

I'm sure if I dug more into the The Bee and its ownership, it would probably end up being "not good". But its free and covers neighborhood issues really well so I'm not going to try and make it stop showing up.

Helen Mirren thinks it's "magical" that dancing in orbit around the earth are a hundred robots singing (at 1575Mhz, one eternal note held halfway between B♭ and B, 21 octaves above middle C), and any time you can hear four of them sing at once you know exactly where in the universe you are

Maps constantly wants people in my neighborhood to make protected lefts across a highway at rush hour rather than going down one more block to an actual stoplight.

I really, really like Nellie & Joe’s Famous Key West Lime Juice for adding to my water. Big pitcher of tap water in the fridge, so its actually cold, squirt of that lime juice stuff in the glass and its just the most refreshing.

I'm seeing "don't rank rene" signs all over my neighborhood.
Sunday night update: Don't Rank Rene now reporting close to $200,000 in spending.

SEIU, the state's most powerful public sector union and a prominent Carmen Rubio supporter, has given $50,000.

Reminder: Rubio currently in a distant 3rd, per polling. 👇

Don't Rank Rene has just dropped $72,000 on lit & brochures.

Multiple groups supporting Carmen Rubio — w/ big $ to spend — are now backing multiple candidates as she falters.

Portland progressive groups, unions pivot focus to thwarting Rene Gonzalez.

I finally got around to watching Dune Part 2, and my biggest complaint is the compressed timeline. The book takes place over like 4 years, movies are like 7 months.
