Local stations will absolutely vanish if they continue to hitch their wagons to NPR, which has explicitly chosen to not talk “too much” about “democracy.

They’re going for corporate donors, now. They’re pissing off their listeners and they don’t care — they’ve chosen a side and it’s not ours.

They already got away with it once last year. Why not try it again this year?

Apparently NPR thinks it’s going to overcome its federal funding gap by alienating its listeners and wooing corporate donors. Stop rewarding them by listening, folks. It’s cooked.

I wasn’t suggesting state lines have changed, only that when they were drawn, it was done so for partisanpolitical advantage. There are two Dakotas, for example.
