When I followed Thomas and Friends back in the day, the announcement of a new video or DVD coming out was always a big deal. A fancy sale offer with said new videos/DVDs? Even better!!!

Re-rendering the video before I transfer it to tape. Here's a nostalgic jolt from yesteryear. You're welcome. I'll send you a bill.

I just skimmed through the comp to get a cartoon listing. Fun fact: One of the Looney Tunes cartoons runs twice. Goodness knows how I let that happen and even better, I'm pretty sure one version is PAL so it runs faster. I'm having to trim that out before copying it to tape...

Anyways, content!!!

A while back, I made a custom Cartoon Network compilation of Christmas cartoons (alliteration!!). I should really get it copied onto VHS at some point. Sure, the commercials will look extra crapola but on an E-240 at SP, it should look decent enough...

A free Cartoon Network streaming service? I'd be there in a heartbeat. If anything, it reminds me of Cartoon Network Too from the 2000s. All the modern stuff is on regular CN, the Cartoon Cartoons and other classic stuff gets shunted to CN Too and Boomerang. It was a fascinating time...

I mean, I've got one on my watchlist for next week 🤣

I have a Letterboxd review in mind. This is a movie I saw 20 years ago and is a textbook example of something you enjoy when you're young with no taste but turns out to be a pile of garbage the older you get.

I could watch a good film but nope, this is where the mind is tonight!!

I think getting a decent notification sound for Al's weekly drive to work is out of the question BUT I found something that works for when my bank sends me the occasional buzz. This is absolutely a mistake but hey, we've come this far...

Post something random or you'll have an awful December.

I meant to post this last night when I saw this but I forgot because I am garbage.

Never deflate and land on a police officer. They will get upset, they will break out their giant "Fuck You" truck, potentially with giant buzzsaws and they will chase you through your local city streets until you either die or you outrun them, whichever comes first...

Checked on my T&J Golden Era Anthology order. Not gonna lie, the delivery times listed on the set's page don't exactly fill me with confidence that it'll be here by December 4th as previously promised...

Woke up to the delightful* news that Tom and Jerry and the Forbidden Compass had a UK/Ireland release date. May 19th 2026, just three weeks away from my birthday. Oh goodie!!!

I'd love to be that good. This is my favourite retro game for the blue rat and I've never beaten it even after 25 years. I think the farthest I've ever gotten is Metropolis Zone before game overing...

Beatles Anthology also done, at least the first eight episodes. Not really interested in the new 9th one. I imagine it's the same stuff already on the DVD Bonus Features. Edits aside, it still tells the story of The Beatles pretty well. That said, I would still say don't throw out your old DVDs...

It's still incredible to think the same dramatic actor in one Sci-Fi epic of the 50s would twenty plus years later deliver some of the funniest lines in one of the best spoof movies ever made...

If you only know Nielsen from Airplane and Naked Gun, I absolutely recommend Forbidden Planet.

I'm not one to brag (right now) but Neal Page's f-word tirade at the rental car desk? I was able to quote that shit before I was ten years old. I watched the movie that much when I was a kid.

Actually if anything, that scene probably influenced me the most when it came to me using the word "fuck".

What did I do for those 20 days? Mostly I watched Cartoon Network in bed with the new cat my mom adopted a week before going on holiday. Shit you not. Shock and surprise, kitty bonded with me until I moved out in 2015 🤣

Movie time again! I don't really need to rewatch this one for a review, I was brought up on it and I've seen it enough times to be able to quote random scenes but let's do it anyway. It would be like going past February 2nd without getting a dose of Bill Murray...
