Would that I could move.

I’m with ya.

That is an apt phrase. 😵‍💫

It’s pretty libertarian here.

Is there a proper fall? I confess, Ive never been to Alabama! I need to visit at some point.

There’s even a gun culture in CT where I’m from. I grew up with firearms (my dad is a Vietnam vet). I never felt safer being around armed folks.

Also, isn’t there a ton of ”old money” in the South? maybe just a different kind of old money I guess.
November 30, 2025 at 12:18 AM
That is totally fair! I lived in Savannah for a while, and felt like a fish out of water.

*sorry* — everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but i love New England and miss it horribly. 🙃
November 30, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Well, I’m from there, and I find that folks from other areas of the country tend to make gross generalizations about it that they‘d hate if made about their own region (e.g. the south). New England is not all “old money” and has lovely forests.

Maine is most certainly New England.
Fight me! Also, New England is God‘s country.
November 30, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Yes to all the above.
