For older adults, playing video games can support cognitive function and memory.

It can also provide relief for symptoms of depression and stress.

And for those who have never played video games, it could be a way to learn something new- & spend time with a grandchild.

Changes in memory do not necessarily mean Alzheimer’s disease. In Alzheimer’s disease, changes are typically larger- like forgetting the name of your grandchild or not knowing where to go even though you’ve been there many times. We may also see aggression or changes in personality.
